Welcome to Bedtime Chess

Giving you and your loved ones the ability to learn about chess at bedtime. Each book will focus on a certain chess piece or strategy.

Our Stories 

Bedtime Chess was created by Daniel Hallback. He wanted a way to teach his little nieces and nephews the game of chess. 

A Pawn Story

This was the first book written! It focuses on how the Pawn moves and teach some strategy.

A Knight Story

This is the second book of the series. It focuses on the Knight which is the favorable piece of many children. 

A Bishop Story

This is the third book. It focuses on the bishops and teaches concepts such as pins, showers and the bishop pair. 

A Rook Story 

This is the fourth book of the series. It teaches how the Rooks moves and concepts such as connected rooks. 

A Queen Story

The fifth book in the series focuses on the Queen. It shows how to move the queen and concepts such as how to attack with the queen and how to  protect the queen. 

A King Story

The sixth book in the series focuses on the King. It gets tips on how to keep the king safe and the role the king plays in the game. 

ABC's Of Chess For Kids

This book provides a chess term or tactics for each letter from A to Z.

The Pawn Who Became King  

This is a story about a pawn who never gave up on their dream of becoming king.
